Retouching
The woman is this photo example has wrinkles on her forehead and around her eyes. In the After picture her forehead and eyes have been retouched to smooth out and remove the wrinkles. This retouching technique can be more subtle for a less obvious change. Her squinty eyes have been opened up, and the outside corners of the eyes had a droopy look, so they have been tilted up slightly. The whites of her eyes have been enhanced, and her eyebrows have also been filled in. The color tone of her skin was warmed up to reduce the pinkish color. This skin softening technique is also used for toning down facial shine and minimizing large pores.
