Photo Restoration This sepia toned vintage photo was broken into two pieces. To begin the restoration the two pieces were carefully placed together and scanned. Then the missing area caused by the photo being pieced back together was replaced. This involved cloning pixels from above and below the break all the way across the picture. The woman's hair was slightly thin on one side, so it was filled in. The various little spots, marks, and stains were removed, and the photo was sharpened slightly and cropped. Except for some obvious stains seen on the actual photograph that needed removed, the worn paint on the porch was left as is. This way the integrity of the original photo was kept intact. |
