Special Effects and Creative Techniques
This black and white photo was taken with a digital camera. For retouching this picture, instead of replacing the cluttered background a radial blur was applied to make the couple stand out. The stripes going around in the blur are the stripes of the top of the tent they are under. The picture graphic on the t-shirt was removed, and the boy's hair on his forehead was trimmed. To tone down facial shine, both faces were smoothed over. This retouching technique gives a fun look to the picture now.
