Background Replacement
This black and white picture was taken with a digital camera in a crowded area with a lot of people in the background. The boy and girl were removed from the cluttered background and placed on a background of a brick wall with their names "painted" on the wall. A shadow effect was applied behind the couple so that it wouldn't appear that they were pasted onto the wall. The boy's t-shirt graphic was removed, and his hair on his forehead was trimmed. Their faces were smoothed over a little to tone down facial shine. This retouched picture was then sharpened.
